Richard Harris.-----he played a variety of parts, and was one of the best of his time with a characterful face

Matt
Dermot Morgan (Father Ted)

The series was so funny and he was so adored, it's tragic that he died so young and was unable to continue in the role :(

Dermot Morgan

Father Ted is my all-time favourite comedy. I love it! I could name any of the actors from the show as some of my favourite Irish actors because they made me laugh so much.

As far as living actors are concerned I really like James Nesbitt.

KittyNi
Colm meaney - Jonathan Rhys Meyers- cillian murphy- Brendan Gleeson

she just had such a perfect face and features. other women who worked with her said her beauty was more remarkable in person.

she was respected and clung to her irish heritage. she did not move to hollywood, she lived in ireland. a truly beautiful, decent and proud woman. i really like the fact that she chose to join the riff raff of hollywood. she earned her money and went home. very classy.

Liam Neeson, he is a great actor and has a fabulous screen presence.
“Schindler's list” is one of the best films ever in my opinion. He is always great in any role and is a classy guy. He does not act like diva ether and is a polite gentleman.

The fella that played Benji in The Riordans.
He could've made it big in Hollywood if he wasn't married to the farm.

Kate
Pierce Bosman and Maureen O'Hara for their great acting ability and their pride in being Irish

Have to go with Richard Harris. Amazing talent and wonderful variety of roles, start to finish. He never lost his intensity. Michael Gambon is another great one. James Nesbitt has done some good dramatic work as well.

Also like Maureen O’Sullivan, and Brenda Fricker

Richard Harris, a wonderful ambassador for Ireland even after death.

I see a few wonderful British actors have been given Irish citizenship by some posters! Who? Robert Shaw, Oliver Reed and James Nesbitt.

I know for a fact that the Irish are well represented by many wonderful actors and actresses without having to resort to nicking any of ours.

Ello Guv
One of my favourite actors is Daniel Day Lewis who became Irish I think.
