Pubs in dublin city centre are generally quite expensive compared to places in the suburbs and outside of dublin. They charge about 5.50 euro for a pint of beer. Guinness can be slightly cheaper.
Temple Bar pubs would be the most expensive - where even a can of coca-cola is a rip off! Its nice to visit Temple Bar as its so central, but don't spend all of your time here - best thing to do is a pub crawl... You wont have to walk far though as there is literally a pub on every corner! All have different types of music and crowds of people so when you find the pub with the best atmosphere that suits you, settle there for the night! |

Definitely outside of Dublin city centre, mate. Temple Bar is a huge rip-off! Try Rathmines or Ranelagh. |

their is no such thing as cheap drink in Dublin. |

pubs tend to charge the same amount in the city. The only places that are cheaper are clubs, e.g. tennis clubs or gaelic football clubs but you usually have to be a member. Drink is slightly cheaper outside Dublin. |

I agree with everyone else there are no cheap bars only ones that don't rip off. Stay away from temple bar it's a great laugh but it is seriously a rip off. Try Flannery's in Camden St, The Portobello on South Richmond St, Toast in Rathmines or Smyths in Ranelagh |
