The head of any gaelic clan is the Taoiseach, literally translated as Big chief, his deputy is the Tánaiste literal translation is little chief.
The state adopted this term to distance itself from british colonies such as canada and australia. The term prime minister is not used here as we are a republic, and not a monarchy, We anser to neither queen, king or keiser only ireland.

Bertie Ahern is the current Taoiseach and following in the fine tradition of finna failure, he is a crook.
Past FF and Taoiseach peers of his include charlie haughy ( crook embezzler, hippocrite, told the nation to tighten its belts in the 80s while he lived on kickbacks and fine wines and tailored shirts.
Eamon devil-era. Appologised to the german people on hearing of the death of Hitler (enough said), Also responsible for the assassination of one of the countrys greatest patriots Michael Collins. Dev was a hippocrite and coward who would not stand up and negociate the treaty himself, he is currently rotting in hell as we speak ..

Bertie Ahern. Only his title is 'Taoiseach', which is pronounced 'Teesh-och'.

It is Bertie Ahern, although the ''Prime Minister'' is called ''an Taoiseach''. The first Taoiseach was Eamonn deValera. The deputy Taoiseach is called an Tánaiste, the current Tánaiste is Brian Cowen.
