Dolores O Ridian from band Cranberries, Linger one of the best songs ever.

She has a strange voice do, you have to be into it.

I heard them live once. I felt shivers when I heard this song live.

my fave is dolores from the cranberries. I love her voice, i think its very distinctive from other female voices, very suited to the music she sang and you could really make out her strong accent.

Sinead O Connor has a great voice too, but i was(still am)a big fan of the cranberries, so dolores gets it.

Hat -a - Tat-Tat - The name is Niamh Kavanagh

My personal choice is Sinead O'Connor - Fair enough, she does not appear to be the most pleasant person, but her voice is truly Irish

Sinead O'Connor has an incredible voice and I like the way she tries lots of genres (folk, trad, pop, rock etc) even if they're obviously not going to be chart-toppers around the world (like her album Sean NĂłs Nua, for example).

Dolores Keane can belt out a good tune too.

Sinead O'Connor is certainly up there, but as she's a bit of a stroppy cow, I'm not inclined to be too keen to buy her CDs.

I think Mary Coughlan is great, and Mary Black and Frances Black are also great.

Addition: I forgot about Dolores O'Riordan from the Cranberries, yes she is very good. I've seen her doing her grocery shopping in the big new Dunnes Stores on the Childers Road in Limerick.

The Nine Lives of Laura Gonzales
Lisa Hannigan or Dolores O'Riordan.

Sshhhh! It's Podge and Rodge
Leslie Dowdall

We always had a bit of a thing for her.
