In Dublin stick to the Temple Bar area where theres something for everyone from bars to clubs to traditional irish pubs all within a ten min walk of each other!
In galway if your a tourist then youl love the Quay (pronounced key) bar just off Shop St.(yep thats what they call the main street in galway) a mixture of tourists and native irish all out having fun..a bit further up the road is the Kings Head, they have great live music there and do fantastic lunches during the day. For clubbing in galway you got to hit either Cuba or Karma, both very good, Cuba has two dance floors with two different types of music. FOr eating out in galway the Cellas is great during the day, just off the top of Shop Street..i love it there! |

You won't be able to walk down a street in Ireland without having a drink or a bit of fun so don't be worrying about that side of things. There's loads of restaurants around Dublin/Galway/Cork, although in my opinion, the nicest dinners are in the carverys that the pubs put on. |

A great pub in Galway is The King's Head. Great live bands and great craic. Check it out- you wont be disappointed. Also lots of tourists in it and locals. |

In Dublin, there are literally 1000's of places, but some of my favourite restaurants are Luigi Malones (temple bar) ..break for the border (st. stephens green) and milano's ( dawson street) for drinks... Pravda (ha'penny bridge) the bleeding horse (camden street) |

there are lots of places to have fun, eat and drink in Dublin- the place is full of them.
I liked Bewleys, but that was in winter and they had great meals like Irish stew with cabbage and mash- just like when I was a kid! |

Galway - I was in Galway for a month in the summer and Galway has some awesome places to drink. Make sure you visit the King's Head Pub for some modern decor and good time. Taafee's Pub is more tradition, and will get packed very quickly, good music and drink. Bazaar is a bar near the water and is a great place any day, especially on Sunday when you can hear a acoustic band doing great covers. My friends and I had a good time singing with them while we were drunk. Last, I would stop in the Cellar Bar or a dance place called Cuba. Hope this helps you. |

There are many places you can go to in Dublin. Temple Bar has many great bars, nightclubs and restaurants. Lilly's bordello's in grafton street is quite a nice nightclub. You can also go to clubs like Sugar Club, Spirit. |

On Dublin:
If you like food, Dublin has plenty of restaurants. Just a few examples here:
- Baracuda's in Bray (co Dublin)- the restaurant is actually on the beach!! Menu is steaks, fish, etc. Food is good, but you really go there for the view. Nicer during the day = sunday lunch?
- Salamanca - Wicklow street, Dublin 2. Nice Spanish style restaurant (not necessarily authentic). Large menu with small dishes for mixing and matching. Nice stuffed peppers, patatas bravas, ratatouille. Deserts are nice too (crema catalana) is nice.
- Bang cafe - Baggot Street, Dublin 2. Very nice food, a couple of nice veggie options, impeccable service, nice for groups.
If it's drink you're after, plenty of pubs in Dublin. My favorites are:
- Nearys (off Grafton street) - lovely for a forbidden afternoon pint. Sit upstairs on a sunny day.
- Nealons (Capel Street) - lovely fire upstairs. Good music (weekend evening). Sit in the quiet booth downstairs just before the stairs for a chat.
- La Cave - wine bar on South Anne Street. Very small, red velvet downstairs bar. Although open for dinner, it only gets interesting in the wee hours of the morning. Wine and a mix of spanish / french / northern african music. Good fun, very mixed crowd (from 18 to 60 some nights). |
