Unfortunately anyone and everyone can hit the "report abuse" button, and then the YA "staff" decides whether there was an actual violation.

It's probably that some overly-sensitive type decided that the reference to "white" was somehow racist.

Sigh.....welcome to YA land!
PS -- and stay off of the Religion section if you want to avoid "violation" reports -- those guys are vicious
PPS - instead of a "abuse" report, just give and answer thumbs down if you think it is "illiterate" or "doesn't address the question." Lighten up already -- it's supposed to be fun!

Actually, your answer was illiterate and never mentioned culture and said Ireland has all countries...did you mean counties and it never mentioned the racial make up of Ireland nor did you talk about teacher salaries...nuff said?

Addition: Guys! am I misreading her answer.. did she really say something? I see a huge disconnect between the question and her words. White has nothing to do with it...Asking if Ireland has a high white populationi is like asking if Africa has a black population..that's not racist.

I'd appeal appeal and appeal again, if for no other reason than to try and give them head ache.

(someone91's answer), I know the best thing to should be to ignore it, it just really annoyed me, but anyway as you can see it's still there.

Now personally imvvho I think it deserves a violation notice but sadly YA apparently have their heads firmly rooted up their collective asses.

Some times people will report people for posting erroneous answers. Your answer does not seem to answer the question that was asked, so they probably reported you for that.

I am not sure, you gave a valid answer, didn't insult anyone etc.... But you can get a violation for anything it seems.

This used to be one of the calmer sections. I expect random violations in the Religion section.
