I love Ireland simply because it is Ireland. I love the people, I love their laugh, I love their accent regardless of from where they come. I love Gaelic, although I don't understand a single word. I have always felt welcome in Ireland. Off the record, I have met numerous Irish ladies that I would happily pinch or have pinch me!

Seriously, Ireland is great!

Yes, on the other side, I know of Northern Ireland. Hopefully, that problem can finally remain settled and eventually move toward a permanent, satisfying solution.

Sorry, folks, I am American.

I'm Irish, I live in Dublin and I love the Northern accent! To me, it sounds unique and different to any other.

boohoohoo
I'm Irish too (Dundalk) though I live in the Swiss Alps.

Ireland is a lovely country, and Northern Ireland is very beautiful. Pity that its history is so tortured. Do NOT lmao

There are very few people in the world understand the irish problem(Not surprisingly as we do not understand it ourselves) Some do not even know that we exist at all. I to live in NI and love my country and fellow countrymen but have travelled a bit and have seen how others live and most cultures have survived through conflict of some sort or another and depending which is the strongest at the time.
As far as accents are conserned every language has different dialects. so be proud of yours.
Green and orange go very well together especially is you have strawberry blond hair and freckles

I'm Irish (Kilkenny) and I'd say they just like us because we stay neutral.

The people who think we pinch people if they are not wearing green and who havent heard of northern ireland are probably american, their lack of basic geography and well knowledge of any sort is quite bizzare.
