Why does milk in Ireland usually say 'Bainne Úr' on it?

I know it is Irish for fresh milk, but most brands say it. Why specifically milk?

I've never seen orange juice labelled 'sú oráiste' or a loaf labelled 'arán'.
Additional Details
Milburn Dairy says it in small letters under "Fresh Milk", Donegal Dairies says it in bigger letters. Strathroy dairy says in big letters over a picture of a daisy flower.

The only milk we ever get that doesn't say it the SuperValu own brand.

maybe it's cuz it's made by irish cows and that was their one condition for it being sold...
oranges don't usually ask for anything in return for selling their juice... :)
i'm smiling now cuz im imagining a cow speaking irish and demanding things... (other than my old irish teacher...)

Because everyone knows what 'bainne' means. The thing about these Irish Gealgoirs is that they like to throw in a word that not many people will understand, hence 'ur'.
It's a lesson in tautology!

Maybe the manufacturers of your brand have a grá for the language, or sell it in Gaeltacht areas. I went to the fridge to check, but mine has no word of Irish at all, just Fresh Milk.

Maybe it's to distinguish it from UHT milk? I have no idea. Good question.

Is máith liom cáca millís!
It's really only Arrabawn milk that says that!

Milk goes off fairly quickly unlike orange or bread.Under those circumstances it's just a little reassurance by the marketing people.

ME !
I don't know any brands of milk that say that !

♥ sarah
emm ... fyi, its only one brand that says it
and second of all who even give a damn!?
