To Alan m I dont know where your getting that bollox

we were oppressed for 800 years and never lost our spirit to fight against you sh*t brits we kept our religion our language and our culture intact despite your attempts to breed us out of existance or your punishment killings.

Maybe the brittish history books conveniently leave out all the sickening things you did in ireland but the Irish will never forget

For the wearing of the green for the wearing of the green they're hanging men and women for the wearing of the green.
And since the colour we must wear is englands cruel red
sher Irelands sons will nar forget the blood that they have shed

Wise Guy
Because their is still a majority Unionist Population in the 6 counties and if they were simply given back they would start a civil war.

That's as basic as I can put it for you

Orla C
Very very complicated .....

Ant7
because they are selfish and greedy!they claimd so many countries its unbelievable!dat would explain why there not liked!

sean o
that mean big problims for everybody

dollymix (now geeky for a month)
It's much more complicated than actually just handing them over.

There are many people up in Northern Ireland who want to be part of the UK. Nobody can really take that right away from them even if the UK decide they want to. Also it would be very difficult financially for the Republic.

Johnny
How big a question is that? And how badly posed...

Nothing to do with England for a start. Northern Ireland is part of the UK.
The people of Ulster want to remain part of the UK and no amount of bombing will change that. Its likely it will change sometime in the future.
