Why in Ireland are there so many crows?

and everywhere?

I never really thought about it, they are a native bird here.

As someone said there is a lot of food for them, and they have no natural predators. (There was once an injured one in our garden and his friend/family attacked our cat who was afraid to go outside for a week afterwards!)

There are four main types of crows here, Ravens, Rooks, Hooded Crows and Jackdaws.
The Ravens are the biggest, and the rarest, then the Rooks, then the Hooded Crows, Jackdaws, the same goes for size.

You would only see Hooded Crows and Ravens in the countryside, the others you see everywhere.
