Because Irish people are white? Thats kind of like asking why there are so many Mexicans in Mexico, or why there are so many Asians in China...

Ireland is a white nation that has IRISH people...and because of years of evolution, lack of sunlight..they just turned out to be white, and live there.

They are of celtic origine: red hairs, very white skin. Why? No Romans were there ever, they never suffered from an invasion. So the gaelic language survived, too.

because they is native europeans - just like French, Germans etc. and native europeans is Caucasian. in fact the Irish are proven to have some the oldest DNA in Europe. They are a much older nation than any of the Scandinavians , so they are not on the whole descended from them..

inhabited mainly from the north and north east Europe. did not have colonies, like UK and thus no immigration ,up to recently, due to much stronger economy than in the past, was very poor country not 30 years ago

People from extreme Northern areas generally have very fair skin. They have not had to develop dark skin pigmentation to protect them from equatorial sun.

Because of the evolution...

Ireland is a cold country with the highest temperature ever recorded only 33C... hence with evolution they did not require darker skin to protect themselves.

We are white because we are of Celtic origin and our skin colour suits the climate we live in.

hi rawanda - we are white because there is a lack of intense heat in ireland so our skin never had to change much or darken for protection from the sun. it is true that we are a celtic race but unlike mainland europe which gets higher temperatures and more sun, thereby those races evolved where needed and tend to a sallower complexion - this wasnt needed in cold rainy ireland
