In the British Isles Scotland will probably be the best. Here in Ireland it will be good because we know how to celebrate. However, we are not part of the British Isles, in fact ancient maps show the island of Britain to be part of the Celtic Isles. How about that!

The Scots probably do it best. They have the Hogmanay up there, with lashings and lashings of deepfried pizzas and Mars bars, Irn Bru and pints of heavy, followed by a passionate sensous Glasgow kiss.

In Dublin the People have a Great time around Christ Church Cathedral Where they gather for the ringing of the Bells and Bring their own Drink and Food and have Great fun. Also in Temple Bar there are usually a lot of Private Parties. There are no Official Fireworks Displays that I am aware of but People all over the City set off their own but it is Illegal .This is just Typical of The Government . A couple of Years we had Official Fireworks Displays but not for a few Years. So it is not London or Sydney but still People have a Great time,you have to organise things with other People.

The Pub situation is a bit Funny on New Years Eve and you will probably be charged big cover Charges to get in,as the Bar Staff like to be off Tomorrow.

Best stick to Local Pubs in your own Area more Reasonable than in the City. In Local Areas People set off Fireworks at Midnight,and People come out on their Doorsteps to wish each other a Happy New Year.

So the Best Places to go to is London ,Edinburgh, Sydney,any where Else but not Ireland. Unless you organise things with your Friends .

hey above ireland is technically deemed part of the British isles funnily enough! a lot of people don't like it! but hey who cares! im from dublin and my new year was spent minding 5 kids this year which was preferable to heading to town to pay an extorted amount of money in somewhere that's way too packed, only to be left walking home for hours due to lack of a taxi! defo head to scotland! much cheaper and big on atmosphere!
