I'm from Kerry. It's great here. There's a great buzz in Tralee during the Rose of Tralee Festival which is on usually near the end of august. There's always a buzz in Killarney and Dingle. You'll have a great time!

UP THE KINGDOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. You can drink here at 18!

Enjoy your trip!

Would that be the semtex you're talkin about?

Kris......
Its a great place for a vacation, colour of your skin makes no difference, you had no need to mention it.

Great place to go, not only to live there, but also to visit. Apparently the Irish are colour blind when it comes to races, as people in all other countries should be. They are also very friendly and accommadating to all. Great scenery, great craic and very safe, and I'm sure that you'll have a wonderful time over there.

Motet Galaxy
I hope not.

If you mean "would it be fun" then it depends on what you like to do, but most likely. I had the time of my life in Ireland...we spent our time hiking around some gorgeous places, visiting little towns, and taking a lot of photos! We saw ceili dancing and hit a pub a couple nights (but only to play music as my partner and I play Irish trad music). I found it to be a gorgeous country and the people I met were really nice.

As a travel agent who has seen a lot of places in the world, Ireland is my very favorite place. Scotland holds a close second.

given the history with the IRA, i'm not sure a "bomb" vacation is exactly the best term for it, lol.

if you don't have anything pressing you to stay here and as long as you can afford it without having to rob a bank, go for it. later in life, you'd more likely regret NOT going than you would regret going.

alan m
all parts of Ireland are safe now. The IRA as one person said have stopped the bombing of anyone whose back was towards them.

it would be fun, because you'd be doing a lot of drinking :) that's ireland for you
