well i look at it this way, americans visit Ireland and visit Irish towns most of us Irish don't bother with, we would rather spend a ton of money heading off to Australia.
Its the same when i go to america, i know more about certain american towns and states than many americans do because i have explored the back country
Just because you come from a certain area don't make you an expert in that area |

Its kind of pointless that they answer uk questions cos half the time their answers dont mean anything because of different laws and stuff. |

Yes, it would because the information they give is often incorrect for this country. However, I don't think you should be rude about them. You don't know all Americans. |

i agree they need to stick to USA QA its funny when I asked this question i got called a racist sooo many times lol. they need to stop answering British questions when it doesn't concern USA that's it really. |

You might get some decent answers if they cleared off |

Maybe if they stuck to their own site it would be good |

No doubt about it. Why is it everything they touch turns to sh*t? |

Consider that your questions pop up on the "Most recent questions" section of Yahoo.... this is why you get many Americans answering your questions. (that's why I saw this one). I am sorry that we come off as "holier than thou" and sanctimonious, I do know that there are many here that are that and more, but I also know that you have your fair share of them in Ireland and the UK also. Please understand that many of us in US respect and love people wherever they are..... everyone has a valid and useful point of view... you just have to filter through the BS to get to it. |

Yes yes and yes!! I have always wondered why there are so many yanks on here, don't they have an American answers page? |

Yes. USA has some odd ideas so lets hope Yahoo start a UK and USA edition. |

You're going to get a violation for this, you watch. I fully agree with you. They should have their own section on XBOX live as well. They always spoil the games on there too. |

If people posting questions made it clear to which country they were referring/residing, we wouldn't have this problem. |

Good question. I don't know. I like them coming on here so I can tell them what's what, personally. |

Why would you wanna group the UK, and Ireland together??
They're 2 different countries? |

No. If I had to ask a question about America I'd probably go to the American site, unless I wanted an Irish/UK perspective. Why shouldn't they have the right to post here too? |

No it would not. |

No. Would the Irish one be better if we didn't have to share it with UK people? probably not. |

i'm not sure why you hate americans so much. don't forget that many of us such as myself are part irish. what you see on the news doesn't depict all of us. i myself really dislike alot of the things going on here in america and i understand that there's a lot of americans that aren't exactly kind but i still don't see what we did to you? |

For all the Brits who think that Americans ruin everything we touch, I remind you that your Empire laid waste to a far greater part of the globe than the Americans' involvement has ever done. Furthermore, were it not for the selfless actions of millions of Americans throughout the 20th Century, the UK would be in much worse shape than it is now.
We're far from perfect. But to listen to your hypocritical ranting about how bad we are is positively sickening. You seem to forget just how poorly you left the following countries or regions: Egypt, South Africa, India, Palestine, Ireland, Persia/Iraq, Sudan, Pakistan ...
To refer to us as Holier-than-thou, sanctimonious toss*ers shows just how hypocritical you are. |

considering you wouldn't have a Yahoo to have questions answered on if it weren't for an American (David Filo is the co-founder of Yahoo, born in the USA), I would say no. |

Hmm, isnt your question actually the definition of the "houlier-than-thou" attitude you speak of?
I mean, you are spouting off about how much better you are then the americans. |
