I have two sons living in D4 land. They're from Donegal. They'd get the proverbial ripped out of them if started acting posh. The blow in D4's are fine. Can't speak for the born & breds though.Lol.I guess there's an odd one or two a bit up themselves.

Christine
The ones from Ringsend are not!

No, not at all. Every town and village in Ireland has at least some who think they are a step above everyone else.

D4 is only one of many places (Killiney, Dalkey, Howth among others) which have become synonymous with the well-to-do. Ordiinary people who became successful because of hard work, and perhaps an element of good luck. It is mainly the accent that can appear a bit lah-di-dah, but don't we all speak with the accent we hear all around us?

I don't live in D4 but know many nice ordinary folk there.

Not all of them...ahem....cough ; )

Yes. Most of them. All the people I have met from D4 are stuck up snobs.
But then again, I'm stereotyping.
