"Sieze the day" & "Love Conquers all" in Irish Gaelic? for a tattoo.?

"Tapaigh an deis" for sieze the opportunity, is that correct? and is there a translation for just "sieze the day"?

&"Buann grá chuile ní" meaning "love conquers all"?

LovelyLo
I'd translate "Seize the day" as "Gabh an lá" which I think is really cute.
"Buann grá chuile ní" is right.

What do you want to destroy beautiful skin with an ugly tatoo for? I hate them..............so last century.

an bhuil gaeilge agat?
Well....I don't think either of those are really like...IRISH expressions - check out websites with seanfhocal as gaeilge ('seanfhocal' means, literally, old word (but it's like sayings/proverb/axioms) and 'as gaeilge' means in irish). If you're getting your tattoo in Irish don't you want it to be traditional?

As for your mistranslated Irish tattoo being recognized....fat chance! There aren't that many speakers!!

redhawgs
seize the day...isn't that carpe Diem? no clue about the love conquers all.

don't come onto yahoo answers for a translation.lol

this saying will be on your body permanently. someone here might not intenionally give you the wrong answer but might do it accidentally or make a typo. go to a professional.

a friend of a friend didn't get a tattoo translated properly as the word was taken out of it's context and deeply regretted it when holidaying in China and found out what it really meant
