Angelus with the pope on sundays?

I am going to Rome next thur until the monday for the first time and i want to make sure i have it right, does the pope lead a recital of the Angelus at noon to visitors in St Peter's square from the balcony of the Papal Apartments every sunday and if so can anubody give me any tips re this ie what time should i be there , do you just go to the square, how lond does it last, and if the pope will definetly be there sun feb 3rd. it would mean so much to my mum to see him, we wont be there on a wed to go to an audience so i want to make sure i have it right. all info welcome. many thanks

The info John (above) gave you is spot on! There will be plenty of room so there's no need to get their really early - you'll be able to stand where you want to!

Pope Benedict uses the balcony on the topmost floor of the Papal appartments so he's rather difficult to see.

The Holy Father gives a blessing every Sunday to those in St Peter's Square. Make sure you are there by 10 minutes to Noon but there really is plenty of room unless there is something special happening. Just go to the Square - it lasts about 10 minutes - but it can be longer. Since the 3rd of February is the Sunday before Ash Wednesday I would think he is certain to be in Rome.
