Treviso is a nice town - it's worth spending a day there. Other than being the base for Benneton, it's mostly known for lots of interesting frescos, but there are a couple of interesting museums.
If you're looking for day trips from Venice, you might find more to do in Padova (about 30 min by train) or Verona (about 1.5 hr by train). If you're in Venice on the 21st of November, there's the Festival of La Salute. The International Theater Festival runs through most of the month in Venice too. On the 8th and 9th, the town of Mirano has an interesting festival - La Fiera de l'Oca http://www.giocodelloca.it/
November is the wettest month in Venice, so it might seem like home. However, there are a lot of nice days too. In November, the average high temperature is a little less than 12 deg C (53 deg F) and the average low is a bit above 4 deg C (40 deg F). |

Hi! I'm from Rome, and I ever went to Treviso, but I know that is a nice city. Here is quite cold, you will need a sweathshirt but also t-shirts...take an umbrella, and long trousers. Good holiday! p.s. I'm sorry for my bad English, but I'm only 13.. |

I recommend you visiting Verona and Padova, very nice cities quite close to Venice. In November you'll probably find cold, but I hope the sun will shine during your staying here in Italy ! :o) |

YES! I went there and the country side is AMAZING!
But....there are nasty industrial areas that, when you walk through at night, there are tons of skanky prostitutes.
It's a real checker board in terms of good, clean facilities, and wierd goings on in industrial zones, but you are close to Venice, and beautiful mountain ranges, so it is easy to overlook the nasty parts.
I was there in late January, and I was walking around in a light sweater and pants, but I think I was there on an exeptional week. I am not sure what it is like in November.
I really can't recall seeing much to do in Treviso, other than going to some sweet coffee joints, and touring around the country side.
I didn't really get to tour around town as much as I wouldv'e liked, so I'm sure there are tons of things I'm not telling you about.
Good Luck! |
