Anyone been to Villasimius in Sardinia?

Hi,
me and my boyf are flying to Cagliari at the end of Sep and staying until 6th Oct. We still haven't booked a hotel or finally decided on the area we want to visit but I've been thinking about Villasimius. We just want somewhere relaxed and beautiful where we don't have to hire a car to see everything and we can just chill out and enjoy the surroundings and have some nice meals out. I'd like to see countryside as well as beaches and we would probably get bikes for a few days to travel around for some sightseeing.
We were thinking of staying at Residence Bouganville as we quite like the idea of having an apartment instead of a hotel room and we are trying to do everything as cheaply as we can! Has anyone stayed here or visited Villasimius? Any recommendations of what to do or if our expectations would be fulfilled here? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :) Also - does anyone know what the weathers usually like around this time of year? Thanks x

I stayed in this rental place in Villasimius - it had great views, wasn't far from the beach and was not expensive. It was not super luxurious but it was fine for my wife and I and my son who loved it. It is not that expensive either and great for cycling and hiking around the area shttp://www.eurorelais.org/presentation.php?action=6&housecode=IT-09049-01&cityid=alle&countryid=it&cur=gbp&frames=nee&Lo=myitaly&Pt=myitaly&regionid=sar&t=en

I am not Italian but I want to tell you that Villasimius an all that area are the most beautiful places I have seen in the world. It is a fishermas village. Near to Cagliari so i you want to go and have some fun over there is possible. In Cagliari you can find whatever you look for. What is hard to get is English spoken people even in the turism Agencies. So be prepared to Italian anyhow people in Sardinnia is as beautiful as the island. Enjoy your staying!
