Hello, Florence is full of hotels. Imagine that in one building you can see a hotel in 2nd floor and another one in 3rd floor!
Give attention on the guests' reviews. It's a very powerful tool to use the experience of other people.
Happy traveling! |

I would recommend Bellevue House. It is centrally located, so easy to get to everything, and also inexpensive. My friend's parents just stayed there and paid less than $60 a night. Here is a website that might be helpful.

Hotel Delle Nazioni is located in the centre of Florence, 50 mt from the main Railway station of Santa Maria Novella. Traditionally known as a comfort hotel, the Delle Nazioni has diversified and loyal customers. All Florence major attractions are walking distance from the hotel.
2)Hotel Machiavelli Palace was completely restored in 1990, but the lines and finishings, the frescos, the coffered ceilings, example of florentine style of that period remained unchanged, since they communicate the typical atmosphere of the old Florence.
The hotel is really close to the Duomo and the most important museums; it’s just 200 metres far from the railway station and the Palazzo dei congressi.
The Chiesa di San Jacopo in Campo Corbolini was founded in 1206 and from 1256 on it belonged to the Templar knights; after various adventurous events in 1700 a small nunnery was added on one side of the church, exactly where the Hotel Machiavelli Palace is now located. Two noble florentine families, Bartolini Salimbelli, famous both in Siena and in Florence for their power of initiative in commerce and politics (many of their members became priors or gonfaloniers) bought the nunnery and transformed it into a palace; the family coat of arms is still on the building.
3)Hotel Caravaggio is situated in a palace of the 19th century in the centre of Florence.
It is within walking distance from the railway station of Santa Maria Novella and, most important, it is very close to the most famous monuments and museums, which make Florence unique. Hotel Caravaggio is also very close to the Polo Fieristico in Fortezza da Basso, Palazzo dei Congressi, Stazione Leopolda, where the main displays and fairs take place. |

I'd definitely start with an online hotel booking site (hotels.com, etc.). Punch in your dates, then sort by price!

Not specifically but try http://www.unusedrooms.com/specials/city/Florence.html and put in your travel dates and a list of accommodation will come up giving you all the details you need. The best i could find was $78 but this depends on your travel dates and length of stay.
Good luck
