I believe we have good looking and bad looking men, like in all countries. What you will find is that italian men "groom" more than the average British or American guy. By this I mean, they will make the effort to look "impeccable" , well dressed and well combed, in all circumstances, even when it's 30C outside and humid like hell...
I find this a bit over the top, to be honest!!

Hi I live in Italy. There are gorgeous looking men, good looking men, cute looking men, average looking men, and ugly looking men in Italy. Italian men, at least in the last 10+ years, are becoming somewhat more vain than women. It's true! So many of them are into being in shape, always dressing nice, being fashionable, having perfect hair and skin, etc. I thought all men were like that, but a friend of mine from Bulgaria said men in Bulgaria are not like this at all.

I spent 10 days in Rieti... about an hour East of Rome at my best friend's family's house. Let me say that the overweight men of the movies is a stereotype and not true. Everyone in general is fine. This is NOT exaggerating when I say that the men are FINE! My best friend herself said that she gains weight when coming back to her home to the states. [not that weight was your question]

Im dating a man from the north and live here with him. I think he's good looking but as for his friends...eh. A lot of them are "mommas boys" and tend to live with their parents until their midtwenties. Also, they wear jeans much tighter than any american man would. Facial hair, and greasy hair is not uncommon. As well as their love of italian leather. But I do see many sexy men in the cities where they have jobs that do not color their hands red (from wine). My boyfriend is tall, dark and hansome and you will find a couple of these jems but its the same as america, for every 1 good looking man you'll see 9 ugly ones.

Italy has ugly and beautiful and in between men. I prefer the men from the north. They are in general taller and dress better.

So and so, like in every country. The newest generation are better than the last. They, after the generation of after-war, have leaved only in the memory suffering, dead and hunger, they become always more beautiful, high and strong. Following fashion and inter-nationality, but remember, let me do an example: I am quiet old, low, quiet sick but no one can get that 'something more', and I get that 'something more', it's being Italian. Come on baby, I'll dig you off, all the love you get in your soul. Ciao. LOL.
