There are lots of McDonalds all over Italy. It's fairly common to find them in train stations as well as city locations. The best one in Rome (if you can use that word for a McDonalds) in in the Piazza directly across from the Pantheon. You have to look closely to tell what it is. There are tables outside where the street performers put on shows. The golden arches in the window are pretty discrete.

Travel Girl
Yes there is a McDonald's but why would you want to eat that stuff in Italy....The food there is amazing.....

Of course! But they are only frequented by North American tourists....
Oh...and do not forget that in Europe, MacDonalds, Wendy's and Burger King are pretty expensive, and taste quite different.
Why one would also want to go there when Italy has some of the best food in the world is beyond me.

There are McDonalds in Rome Italy. See http://search.yahoo.com/search?search=McDonalds+%2B+Rome%2C+Itlay&ei=UTF-8&fr=ks-ans&ico-yahoo-search-value=http%3A%2F%2Frds.yahoo.com%2F_ylt%3DAh73n1tH9293qEiOWpLF1J8azKIX%3B_ylv%3D0%2FSIG%3D11isc05j2%2FEXP%3D1193241301%2F*-http%253A%2F%2Fsearch.yahoo.com%2Fsearch&ico-wikipedia-search-value=http%3A%2F%2Frds.yahoo.com%2F_ylt%3DAn2NZlKKh1uYvB6Ns2hG_J4azKIX%3B_ylv%3D0%2FSIG%3D121jugmb6%2FEXP%3D1193241301%2F*-http%253A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FSpecial%253aSearch&p=McDonalds+%2B+Rome%2C+Itlay

There does not appear to be a Wendys in Italy. I checked both a search site and teh Wendys site. I did find out though that some Wemdys do serve breakfast.

McDonald's are almost everywhere in the world. Yes there is a McDonald's in rome.

There are no Wendy's. I don't think there are any outside the USA and Canada.

The best thing about Micky Dee's in Rome is that if you are really thirsty you can order a cold draught beer.

Yes there are Mcdonalds in Rome, but I'm not sure about Wendy's. There is a Mcdonalds in the same square as the Pantheon.

John J
yes go to:http://www.mcdonalds.it/ristoranti/index.asp
Where it says regione, select Lazio
Where it says provincia, select Roma
Where it says comune, type in Roma

About 20 or so McDonalds locations will pop up in the box to the right.

Didn't see any Wendy's but I think there is Burger King

Sadie C
I know theres a Mcdonalds and its very expensive. Its like $10 for a big mac. The McDonalds is really beautiful though. You walk upstairs and theres a water fountain. Theres also roman statues everywhere. There is also marble floors that looks just like your walking in outside Rome.
