In the larger cities you will see them around.

You will find the stores have different things because stores are about a year ahead of America in fashion, and they will have a wider selection. (American's tend to hang on to styles longer than they are supposed to be worn - just let it go!!)

You probably won't be saving much money - since you are buying with euros anyway.

By the way - there are so many other more interesting and stylish designers than just Gucci. You won't see a lot of it there like you do in the US. Its not "special" there, its just another designer. Check out the many others there...open your mind!! weeeeeeeee

Yes, there are Gucci stores in Italy. The stores in Italy will have the same products as in the US - generally they will have more items than US stores. There are a lot of things that you just cannot get in the US and therefore you need to shop in Europe. Also, most items that we get in the US are already considered "old" by Italian standards by the time we get the goods.

Also, its better to shop for luxury goods in Italy b/c it's slightly cheaper than US prices, even with the exchange rate, for full priced retail luxury goods. Also, you can get the VAT taken off at Gucci. Just bring your US passport and ask to get the VAT off. You get the money back at the airport - but you have to show the actual goods before they will give you the $. Also notify your credit card company in advance of the purchase - a lot of US credit cards have problems when buying luxury goods.
