actually the train goes on to a ferry with tracks and when it gets to sicily it lines up with the tracks there and continues.
9 1/2 hours
standard 2nd class fare one way 47.5 EUR |

take the train, i live in naples :)
you could always fly, it'll take an hour
approximately an infinite time, since sicily is an island and you cannot take a train over the water yet..
you will have to go from naples to calabria and then take a ferry from there..
it will take you about 13/15 hours counting all the waiting times..
so i suggest just flying... |

You could catch the boat from Naples & do an adventure trip to the Volcanic region of Strombali & other volcanic islands. Anyway the train takes aprox 6 hours but i suggest you fly! |
