Train from Marco Polo to Santa Lucia rail station. Water taxi to the stop nearest the Rialto Bridge. I think you can actually do the journey by water, but I'm not sure. Never flew in through that airport.
Venice is amazing. Just walking around is one of the best things to do.

Arrange a water taxi or shuttle from the airport. The bus will take you to Piazzale Roma where you still have to take a water taxi or walk.
Same for the train, because it's near the Piazzale Roma on the western end of Venice.
I took a water shuttle to the airport and it took a little more than a half hour. It's on time and you get a great view of the city too.
