Quadri (the restaurant upstairs from the cafe), Danieli, and the Cipriani are all excellent, but expensive. Da Raffaele is pretty good as is La Zucca.

AWAY FROM PIAZZA SAN MARCO - TOO EXPENSIVE AND THEY CHEAT ON TURIST, THERE ARE A FEW GOOD TRATTORIAS OR PIZZA PLACES THAT ARE IN THE LITTLE cALLES IN vENICE, NOT AROUND SAN MARCO - THERE ARE SOME GOOD SEEFOOD REST BUT BE AWARE - very very expensive!!! Check out the places where the local people eat.... follow them

THAT VERY MUCH DEPENDS ON YOUR BUDGET & Lunch Or Dinner Menu.
VENICE TENDS TO BE EXPENSIVE ANYWAY- - YOU COULD EAT FOR A WEEK FOR THE PRICE OF 1 MEAL IN SOME TOP RESTAURANTS.

I love the outside tables of the Piazzo San Marco on the Grand Canal. Have a glass of champagne or an ice cream, enjoy the view, and listen to the live orchestra.

Not a restaurant. Just buy a pizza or similar at the street and look for a nice view of channels at the street. For me it is better than a restaurant.
