Can I buy the metro ticket in Fiumicino Airport? |
I'm going to Rome in 2 weeks, and we're going to stay there for 4 days. I'll arrive by plane in Fiumicino Airport and I need to take the train to Tiburtina station and take another subway to reach Termini station ( I can't really afford the direct train to Termini or Leonardo Express). I want to know whether I can buy the metro tickets in Fiumicino, because some people tell me that I can only buy the tickets in big metro stations like Termini and Tiburtina.

yes, you can.also because metro tickets are sold in all newsstands and in airport there are a lot!ciao! |

You can buy the ticket at Fiumicno Airport.
However you can reach Termini station by a faster train. This train start just from Fiumicino airport and bring you at Termini in 30 minutes. It's not bad if you have luggage. The ticket is a little bit expensive (6 Euro) but It will be worth it in my opinion. |

Hi I'm from palermo and I went to rome last week... you can by tickets in almost every station, there are a lot of electronic machine where you can buy tickets!!!
But if you want olso in aereoport there are places to buy tickets!!
I hope you'll enjoy that wonderfull city!!!

There isn't a metro stop at Fiumicino. You'll need to take a train to Termini (9.50 euro one way) and then buy metro tickets. You can buy metro tickets from any tabacchi, but realize that they do close at night and you will have to buy them from the ticket machines in the stations. ALL stations that I went to had the ticket machines, so don't worry about that.

Also, the subway Line A only runs until 9. Line B runs until 11. Plan accordingly. If you aren't getting there until late, you will need to take a cab or bus. |

yes, but you need to buy the tiket for Tiburtina (is not a metro ticket is a train ticket, and cost 5 euro), and at tiburtina you take the metro to Termini (1 euro metro ticket)
