Hotel Colours is nice....its near the S.Peters church and the subway, so very central. They have both dorm rooms and single rooms (with or without private bathroom)..

Otherwise most hostels are near the train station Termini, which is very comfortable transport wise, but maybe not the nicest area to live in. Depending on when you come, an easy last-minute sollution is just going to the tourist information in Termini beside the last track...25(i think)..and they can book a place for you! I've always been really lucky and have never botherd to book in advance.
