try Ibis Hotel: it's a French chain, but they've got very godd rates and they're located downtown.

Try Eurostars International Palace-via Nazionale no.46.It's a very well located, just in the centre of the city,so you can visit all the beauties of Rome during all day and all night. The rooms are smalls, but very clean, the breackfast is wondreful and the staff very nice.I was there two months ago and a room(B&B)was about 100 euros.

Try MIRAGE near Central Station Downtown. Small hotel,
very new and clean. Good value at about E. 130 for a double.

Click on Thad to send an email foer further info.

AM NOT CONNECTED TO OWNERS IN ANY WAY.

ive been twice and both times stayed at the franklin hotel. the rates are great and the location cant be beat :) rates for peak season (which would be now and through september i believe) are less than $200 euro a night.

its within walking distance of the vatican, metro, and lots of great little places to eat.
