Can i wear a cropped jacket in Italy?

hi! i've been researching italy since i'm so excited about a school trip we are going on in the summer. one thing i've learned so far is that it's best not to wear sleeveless shirts/blouses and to bring a sweater or jacket with you. i was wondering though, would it be ok in italy if i wore a cropped jacket? you know, not full waist length jacket? or would i get strange, unhappy stares?

i just don't want to embarrass myself! :-)

AND ALSO, I WAS WONDERING IF SHORT SLEEVES ARE OK TO WEAR THERE? :-)

you can def. wear short sleeves or a cropped jacket in italy. just remember to dress appropriately if visiting a church. nothing revealing .. or they wont let you enter or they make you wear an ugly smock!!

zafir
Short sleeved, and sleeveless shirts and blouses are perfectly acceptable. Don't know where you got the idea that it's not!

The only exception would be in churches, where it might be necessary to cover your arms, and don't wear shorts to church either.

Tania
Yes, that is absolutely fine to wear that....and of course u can wear short sleeves....if ur going in the summer tho, u dont need a jacket or sweater....and when i've been to italy, i've seen people wear sleeveless shirts, so i dont see why u cant wear them....but just to be on the safe side, i would say just bring short sleeved shirts, and tank tops, and u'll be fine...
