Hi. I'm Italian and I live in Tuscany (near Florence).
Florence is rich in art, culture and beautiful landscapes.
There are a lot of interesting places to visit in Florence.
First of all the best place to start an itinerary is Piazza del Duomo(dom's square) where the famous Santa Maria del Fiore church is situated.
Then you can enjoy Signoria's square with the famous David monument.
The best for me is a stroll on the fascinating Ponte Veccjio with all its charateristic jewellery shops.
And the best museums are:
- CAPPELLE MEDICEE
- GALLERIA DEGLI UFFIZI
- GALLERIA PALATINA AND GIARDINO DI BOBOLI(Pitti's square)
- GALLERIA D'ARTE MODERNA
- GALLERIA DELL'ACCADEMIA
- PALAZZO VECCHIO
.........and many more....
- MUSEO ARCHEOLOGICO(situated colonna's street)
I also advice you a walk in Piazzale Michelangelo, a wide square with a great VIEW OF ALL FLORENCE!!!
I HOPE I HELPED YOU...
Bye
