Can you buy postcards and stamps in the vatican and post them there.?

Im going to rome and have heard the vatican is the best place to send postcards if you want them to get to their destination quickly. But can you buy postcards there and stamps and send them there.

You can buy your postcards anywhere in Rome, even just outside the vatican or from street vendors nearby. The Vatican has its own post office and its own stamps, so, if you buy stamps there, you cannot use them elsewhere in Italy.

Hi y´all !
Of course you can.
Besides being the center of Catholicism and the place where the Pope lives and works, Vatican City is a nation/state and has its own stamps.

Yes, you can buy postcards and send them from the Vatican's own post office - not sure that it will be any faster or slower than for the rest of Italy, but only at the Vatican's post office can you get a Vatican stamp - you won't get one anywhere else. So maybe that's something special to do for people you are sending the post cards to....

beketaten@btinternet.com
Yes! There's a post office in the Vatican City where you can buy Vatican stamps. Postcards are on sale everywhere.

Pat R
Yes you can,we were there last year and did just that.

Kickstand
Yes, you can buy postcards and stamps while on the grounds around the Vatican.

Tetanus Tim
Sure can.
Oh and BTW Just make sure you eat and drink before you go there. The food and drink is pretty expensive.......... 15 Euro for 2 coke in a Bar near St Peter Sq.

Enjoy and send me a post card please

Yep, there's a post office to the left site of the Basilic! same costs as in Italy just the stamps have different draws.... and it's true that is quick than the italian post office!

lucrx440.rm
yes. Very Cool!

kimberlylroderick
Yes

malcy
If you are talking about the Vatican city then the answer is yes. THe stamps though are Italian stamps. The vatican does not issue its own.
