It depends on the air, when you are going and how you are buying it. Generally, if you use online discounters, they will never allow you to finance, this includes Expedia, Orbitz, etc. They require the whole payment at once. This is usually true for the airlines directly. However, if you get refundable air, which costs a little more, doesn't have to be paid all at once. If you book with an agent, they will allow you to pay a little bit as you can, until the payment is due in full. This is shortly before your travel dates.

If you are traveling soon it is going to be harder to find. And, non-refundable air is getting more difficult to find as well. You may consider just using your credit card, maybe you have one with 0% APR or low financing.

YEAH WHY NOT :))) ?

No financing, but with a credit card its like that. Look if its an emergency you can ask the airline, like a family member died. They may give you something cheaper or free. Its a long shot but its the only shot youve got.

only if you have credit cards, you can use them for a plane ticket.

A Friend
Yes... you can:

You can apply for an American Airlines Credit account:

Expedia.com will also let you use flex pay... You can pay with two different credit cards or you can pay a deposit and pay the rest at a later date:

Another Perspective
You can use the money from a friend and pay them back in payments.

get one of those last minute cheesy ones, you may not get the best seat, but it is apparently an emergency!

charge it to your credit card to.
