There are several tour companies advertising guided tour trips to Italy. Does any one have first hand knowledge about these trips and how they were treated and the accommadations that were provided. Did you really get your moneys-worth? |

We went with Insight tours and they were worth every penny. We would have gone with Trafalgar Tours but they didn't have a tour that included certain cities in Sicily . We did a 17 day tour with Insight Tours. It was the best trip of my life.
Enjoy Italy

Travelosity.com Absolutely the best I've ever found. And through them, you NEVER arrive at your destination just to find out your hotel doesn't have your resevation Or have given it away because your flight was late. They do it all. From your first plane, ship etc. ticket, to your lodging, rental car, tours, & even extensions if you want to stay longer at a reduced price.
Have a ball. Italy is so beautiful & the people are so friendly.
Greece is awesome too. Lynnda~ |

I went through a company called Gate 1. I didn't do the tours, but you don't really need tours in Italy. Most things are in English, and you are a target for pickpockets when you are standing in a group with headphones on! |

I have travelled with a company called Intrepid. They are all about gettin greal value for your money. You go off the beaten track and the groups are small. You don't travel on a huge coach.
These tours aren't for everyone though. You stay in basic accommodation and travel on local public transport, but you get to see a side of the world that most tourists don't. |
