Catherine Medici - Florence and pre-marriage life..?

Catherine de Medici - early life in Florence...?
I'm looking to get some information on sites and places where Catherine de Medici spent time in durrig her early years in Florence. I know the basic history, and how she was forced into a convent and then arranged to marry at the age of 14 (when she moved to france). What I need to know are names of sites/places in florence where she was prior to her marriage. her house/palace, names of convents, anything else...

I don't have the specifics of locations (besides the Palazzo Medici-Riccardi on via Larga, now via Cavour), but I do believe a new biography was published in 2003-4 by Leonie Frieda that includes a chronology of the period right after her parents' deaths and also includes maps which may pinpoint the monasteries.

The Medici Palace "Palazzo Medici Riccardi" is on Via Cavour near the cathedral.

From what I could find, it seems that Catherine de Medici lived in the Medici palace in Florence until she was 8, and the palace was attacked by rebellious Florentines. Her relatives that lived there with her fled, leaving Catherine because the people of the rebellion ordered that Catherine be with them as a hostage. She was then sent to various convents, and you know the rest. I hope that helps some...
