Cheap residential place in Rome ?
My family total of 6 people travelling to ROme by mid AUg.06 I only need 1 room cheap apartment for 2 days only. Any recommendation.
If you're willing to stay in a hostel, try Allessandro. There are a few locations near the central train station. They have some large private rooms, and I think they all have kitchens. The staff is friendly, and it's worth more than they charge.
Clean, centrally located, and we paid 30 euro a night when we went.
Good luck.

You're going to have to take the train in from the airport (unless you've got a fortune for a cab). There is a torist office inside the train station right when you get off. Tell them your price range, how many stars and they'll set you up. It is daunting to go somewhere and not have a place, I know, but in Rome you can do it. I bounced from city to city for two months without ever having a reservation and never had a problem. There are also hostels right around the station that are cheap, cheap, cheap.

There are a number of websites out there that rent apartments in Rome (as well as most European cities). A quick search on Yahoo will net you a few.
