This site below and others says a hairdryer is available.... I could not find anything concerning and Iron.

I've been to Sorrento though.... it is a beautiful city- you won't be indoors long enough to iron anyhow.

Not sure about the iron but normally hotels in Italy all have hair-dryers but it is best to take your own just in case the one in your room in broke. These are the hotels facilities
Swimming pool
- Air-conditioning
- Room with telephone
- Rooms with television
- Facilities for disabled guests
- Bar
- Car Park
- Locked car park
- Room service
- Elevator
- Rooms with safety deposit box
- Restaurant
- Conference room
- Car rental

I hear the chemical toilets are very good now, and the rat infestation is less of a problem since they removed the human remains from the wall cavities.
