In my experience, Italian men will hit on a tourists because they're exotic to them. While in southern Italy, they all have dark hair, dark eyes and tan skin but I'm blond with blue eyes, it's something new. I think it also has to do with reputations and expectations such as tourists being rich or that "Americans are easy". |

That's not necessarily true. Some might prefer tourists over Italian women, but that's only for a sexual adventure and not a long-lasting relationship. It's a known fact that the majority of tourists are more open to sexual adventures because they are far away from home and don't have to worry about being judged or criticized. Italian guys know this and take advantage of the situation. Wouldn't you? Italian guys hit on girls they like...Italian or foreign. Remember, there's an Italian saying that goes, "moglie e buoi dei paesi tuoi" which means "wives and cattle from your country". Also remember, just because an Italian guy hits on a tourist, doesn't meant he wants to marry her. Also, tourists are something "different" and "new". I live in Italy. |

well i think they really dont care cuz if it was me i would go for whoever looks the best the italian dude or the tourist dude [well women in ur case] but yea i think guys would hit more on tourist becuase tourist girls are more intertested in forigen dude than their own natives. while the guys that are tourist would most likely hit on italian women. |

The probably hit on tourists because they're there just for a few days so no hassle, no responsibilities... i think that's the only reason why they would prefer a tourist to an italian woman. |
