hi!! i'm martina and i'm italian... my aunt is from rome and I live near venice.. so: from Rome to Florence it would take about an hour and half; from Venice to Florence it would take about 2/3 or 4 hours, it depends what kind of train you'll take...

3h from Venice with "Intercity" train -bit more expensive than normal ones-

3h from Rome with "Interegionale"-normal train stops frequently, cheapest solution-

both ways can be 30 min shorter if you take "eurostar" train.
