lake como is Lago di Como in italian, and i know lots of people think is a wonderful place. In italy there are nicer places I think, but is perfect is you want to spend a day shopping and relaxing visiting Como, that is a great city with lots of restaurants. be carreful, is not so cheap. Shops in Como are expensive and sometimes people aren't kind expecially with tourists
anyway if you're on holiday the lake is a beautiful place to stay in and have graet time

It's a beautiful place, nice view. It's a lake in the middle of the Alps, with lots of beautiful houses and gardens. Como city and the villages surrounding the lake are really beautiful and the food is excellent.
It's a nice place to spend an afternoon.
I enjoyed very much the valley called "La Valtellina" that is in the Nord of the lake. Again, the food and the wines are excelent an the view is great. |

Its beautiful, My mother was from Varese Italy just 15 minutes from Lake Como which I visited while in Italy. The lake is in both Italy and Switzerland and the surrounding area has many villas overlooking the lake. A tour by motorboat is worth it. The town itself has many historical places to visit including the cathedral. The sidewalk cafe's by the lake are also a great stop for refreshments. |

I'm italian.... The lake is in the north of Italy and it is one of the biggest lakes in Italy.... I know that it is very popular in America but, trust me, in Italy there are so many best places!!!!!!! Like Florence, Sardegna, Portofino, Rome....!!!! |
