Italy is a gorgeous place! It has such beautiful scenery and spectacular places to visit. It is old. It is charming. It is cultured and Italian! The people are warm and friendly. They are business people and take things as they come. I read a book where Italians don't push - life goes on. In America we push. We push ourselves to work hard to get ahead. Italians work hard to enjoy life. I think in that respect Italians are smarter than we are. We enjoy life, but we don't enjoy LIFE! I think Italians are people who understand what life is. My daughter is working on getting her Italian citizenship...she is Italian by ancestry. She is learning Italian, and in so many ways she is more Italian than American. Italians are beautiful, cultured people who are as complex as their country is beautiful!

I have been to Italy several times and the people are very hospitable, and friendly!
I noticed Italy is not as clean as other EU countries.....but i was in awe of the Gothic & Renaissance buildings, art, architecture, wealth, different dialects, fashion, the peasants and city life.
The general beauty of the vast differences of cultures in Italy, the past and the present, the country side, mountains, beaches etc etc..... i will go back again and again.
