I finished my University there at John Cabot University ( an American University) and I have to say it was a love/hate relationship. I lived in Trastevere which was the cutest place to live with all of the Cafes etc - I would hardly leave the area, except to go clothes shopping and maybe a picnic on top of one of the hills (cant remember the name). Of course the food was to die for especially the pizza ( I believe this place was called il boccaccio) - I am now only able to eat REAL Italian pizza now!! Pasta, on the other hand, I have not been able to touch in a while because I had too much of it.
On the down side, in Rome there seemed to be a general chaotic and confused feeling, and people seemed to like it that way. On the other hand people seemed to like it that way and took life really easy, which could be a good thing that unfortunately drove me crazy!
All in all I had a great time and really enjoyed getting to know several Italian friends! |
