I spent 7 years in Italy and like it. My favorite singers are Antonello Venditti (Quanto sei bella Roma quand'è sera...), Gianna Nannini (Bello, bello e impossibile...), and Angelo Branduardi (Cogli la prima mela, cogli la prima mela).... Yes, I do and I know tons of Italian songs. This is Italy' s national anthem; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3KZKrX9AnE&feature=related. This is a famous "stornello romano", a typically roman type of song; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JeWxGlcd1zI&feature=related. This comes from a play called Rugantino; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-SGACB54YI&feature=related. This too is a very famous obscene roman song; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QTjGqoHLWg. Then there are more modern songs, the most famous are probably; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpqwtBzhiw0 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XB3TfBXUOKw. Then there is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOoWO5PIakM and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NksnPsh_oFE. Anyway consider that these songs are all old, I chose them because these are songs that influenced Italian music and also because they are very famous in Italy. However, these songs are roman; there are neapolitan songs, like; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99kjFdLFjH4, or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXMPryOrMhs, and many more. Modern songs did not influence Italian culture as much as these did. Rememebr, however, that I choseold traditional songs, so stuff like Italian pop or rock songs and so on are not among the links.
