Hi!
Yes! Especially since Mr. Silvio Berlusconi became the Prime Minister of Italy. ( before Mr. Berlusconi it was Prodi the Prime Minister and I think he didn't share the same "political" ideas with President Bush, so...). But I have to say that Italy has always had good relationships with the USA, particularly after the Second World War. There are strong connections between the USA and Italy, ( commercial...as for education...etc.).
Bye!

Yes, it hasn't been a bad relationship since World War II. The Berlusconi is friendlier to the US than Prodi was.

I've traveled throughout Europe and found the Italians are as friendly to Americans or more so than many other countries. Most speak English at least a little bit and want to try it out on you. At the sametime they love to help you learn Italian as well. The men in Rome can be agressive, but its usually just for fun and not dangerous like in large US cities. As in all places, show respect for people and their home and they will welcome you.

Princess
sure we're best friends!
