Sure. Your kids will enjoy the boat-ride while you ogle the palazzos on the Grand Canal: you can catch a vaporetti at many stops, and they run constantly. You can also take a boat-trip to the Lido (great for kids, trust me) which is Venice's beach, or to the island of Murano, famous for glass-blowing. Your kids will love Italian ice - creams. Luckily, gelaterias are everywhere, and the ice cream is fabulous if you get it the Artigianale style. Food for kids: pizza is on display every where you turn. Try the Pizza fast food at Saint Luke Square (200 metres Saint Mark s Basilica) e.g. Don't forget you're introducing your children to a true cultural icon: Venice will always be specially theirs. To book a good hotel in Venice you can go to http://www.scoobit.com and fill the form with city name (Venice). I stayed in the first hotel on the right: nice and clean place. But feel free to choose the hotel that best fits your needs. I booked from scoobit.com more than once now, it's a safe website and you can book online.

that depends how old your children are. Im 16 and i went with my 18 and 20 sisters and parents. we loved just walking around getting lost basically. Venice is a hard place to follow an exact rout because its just little allies that would never be considered even a side walk in the us. Its a gorgeous town. People tell you to bargain with the gondolier people but they dont budge! make you kids watch some movies before they go. I loved being in san marco square because that was the opening scene from the Italian job!

hello! I am Venetian ...
you might see in the mythical town square with the Saint Mark bell tower, the Rialto bridge and then get a good lap in gondola...

Go to Murano. The glass is beautiful. They try too hard to sell you things though. I found it fun just to walk to go into the little shops. It is beautiful at night!

It depends on how old your children are... when I was younger my parents take me to venice...... I loved going in the boats, feeding the pigeons, going in the cathedrals and seeing the glass maker shop and shopping and restaurants are nice there too.......

Taking a boat ride is very fun. The shops and cathedrals are also amazing. There are a lot of birds to see(don't know if that makes a difference but i like birds). Hope it helps!
