Does anyone have suggestions on how to get to Sicily from Sorrento, Italy?

The overnight ferries are HORRIBLE. Do not take them. They are full of dirty, smelly, loud gutter punks, vagabonds & gypsies and you will get no sleep, and you will arrive exhausted and irritated. I foolishly did this once, so I am warning you against it.

I recently drove from Rome to Aciriale in Sicily. I did this in less than a day, so going from Sorrento will be a piece of cake. Drive, and enjoy the beautiful scenery at your own pace. I warn you that the highway is awful (lots of construction), but it's still fun. You (obviously) have to take a quick ferry from the mainland to Messina, but it is cheap and easy and you can stay in your car or get out and watch-it's a short distance.

If you can't drive, then take the train. It's pretty cheap. If you want speed, you will need to take a flight from Naples (also not very expensive). But DON'T take the overnight ferry. You will regret it.

You can certainly take the train or plane, or even drive (plus a short ferry ride), But my suggestion would be to take the ferry from Napoli. Napoli and Sorrento are very close so it will not be a problem to get to the port of Naples. There is an oovernight ferry that will take you to the port of Palermo. I believe that someone has already put up the link for it.

Hi, i'm from Sorrento! You'll love this city!
You must use the ferry to go in Calabria from Sicily. Then, you must go on the freeway called Salerno-Reggio Calabria, to go to Campania. Then, keep the freeway to go to Sorrento!!
Bye!!
