I think it has snowed perhaps 3 times in the last 20 years in Rome, but the Appenines, close to Rome, are always capped with snow during winter.

This year we have had quite a mild winter so far, and we really can't complain, especially after watching what some of the cities up North have had this year so far.

It absolutely will not snow this February and it's doesn't usually.

The further up north the more snow, basically, but this year is pretty good. I was up to Bologna last week and it was cold as hell but no snow, there was snow in the mountains we passed through though.

questionizer
no, rome is almost in sealevel

In Rome? Nah. It'd be like snow in Atlanta in February. Not beyond the pale, but highly unlikely. (Though it absolutely snows in other places in Italy in February, contrary to the statement above!)
