no oceans and no deserts...
studying a bit of geography? ... just a bit to let you know that in the world there are 3 oceans and where they are...

in italy there are mountains (alps and appennini) and a big plain(pianura padana) ... in the rest there are hills...
south italy looks much more dry ground but not desert at all...

Dannie87
i'm italian and......... what deserts or oceans? there aren't neither deserts or oceans!!!!!!!
italy is surrounded by sea: adriatico, mediterraneo, ligure, ionio and tirreno.
and there are mountains: alpi and appennini

Violante
There are no oceans or deserts here but we have lots of good desserts...

Orange B
Ocean?! lol!!!!
In Italy there is the Mediterranean SEA...
Adriatico (Adriatic) Sea, Tirreno ( Tyrrhenian) Sea, Jonio (Ionian) Sea, Ligure (Ligurian) Sea.

Bye!

Desserts? Tiramisù, pastiera napoletana, torta sbrisolona, panforte...

tonalc2
There are no oceans "in" Italy. It is bounded by seas, not oceans.

A famous dessert would be tiramisu.

Vivo d'arte
There are no oceans in italy!!! just seas...all these seas belong to the mediterranean sea....the most famous dessert is the so-called "gelato"...it's not really a dessert, but it's good!

Hi!!! i'm italian (sorry for my terrible english) well italy is situated in the center of mediterranean sea and divided into: Ligurian and Tyrrhenian sea (west), Adriatic and Ionian sea (east). Our traditional dessert are:
-tiramisu (savoyard biscuit, coffee, mascarpone is a cream)
-gelato (ice-cream every taste, fruit, chocolate, ecc)
-crostate (with fruit jam)
-panettone e pandoro (typical Christmas cake)
-torrone
-cassata siciliana e cannoli siciliani(typical sicilian dessert)
-bunet (chocolate pudding piedmont typical)
-pastiera napoletana (naples cake)
-baci di dama (little biscuit with chocolate)
and many other!! Ciao ciao!!

Deserts or Desserts ? Geeeez......... I am confused .........LOL

tuesdaysue
Italians don't eat quite as much dessert as we do, but they did invent ice-cream!
Then there's the famous tiramisù and cornetto pastries and cassata siciliana (think tutti frutti) and zabaglione... Sugared almonds, roast chestnuts and coffee with liqueurs all come from Italy. They produce great dessert wines to be served with their yummy biscotti. They also eat many crostata, or tarts, with chocolate or fruit, or best of all, ricotta.

Italy is in the Mediterranean Sea. The water off it's eastern coast is also called the Adriatic Sea, whilst the water off the west is called the Tyrrhenian Sea.
