Hey! :)
I'm from Rome and my city is probably the first one you should visit (and where you should spent more time), there are A LOT of museums and things to see,at almost every corner. As they said above you can eat very good pizzas (as good as in Naples, where it comes from) almost everywhere in italy. There are a lot of good clubs, if u need u can contact me and i'll give u a few addresses ;) same for the wine bars (but, please, don't drink wine with pizza!!, just beer or cokes with it,never wine!)
for what's about the places to be...i'd suggest you to visit Firenze (florence) that is LOVELY, a bit expensive, but absolutely a must see. it's about 1h and half from rome by train (costs about 46 US dollars)...and there they produce one of the best wine on earth: the Chianti!
and once you're in Tuscany you could visit pisa with its leaning tower (it'll take you one day, dont' spend more time there,'cos it's not that big or important).
as third city i'd definately suggest you Venice, which is very caracteristic (and romantic).
but actually it's mostly up to how long you're planning to stay! :P
btw i honestly suggest you not to visit Milan unless u'r a super-fashion-addict willing to spend all the money you brought in clothes: it has just 1 important monument, the rest is just pollution and shops!, really...it'd be wasting ur time in Italy.
hope i answered all your questions, btw u cna still mail me if u want pizzerie, clubs and wine bars addresses in rome (I'm 20...i guess i know what's cool in rome ;) )

Hi, I'm Italian.
Well, it could sound funny but i've done 1 millions questions too about new york city because this summer i will attend an english course ( july and august).
Anyway it depends on how much time you stay in Italy and how old you are because there are many clubs e restaurants and i suggest you to visit those where you can meet people of your age.
Since it's your first time in Italy you have to visit Rome, Milan and Venice.
You can use trains to move: they're fast and not too expensive.
Some years ago the best pizza was made in Naples but nowadays you can eat it wherever you want because much people of naples live in the north of italy and have many good restaurants.
Naples is a beautiful city but there's more criminality. I suggest you to visit it maybe the second time that you will visit italy.
I have many things to say about italy ( and even a lot of questions about new york :-)
If you want to know more, you can send me some emails so you can know everything you want. |

dont miss florence, venice and rome.
night clubs, ask when you are there
best wine: piemont (turin), veneto (venice), tuscany (florence) and some in southern italy
best pizza of course in neaples, they invented it, the difference is that our tomatos and mozzarella cheese are just fresh in italy
nothing to be sorry, have fun! guys are waiting for you! |

To drink the best wine you should go in Tuscany and in Montepulciano (a small town dipped in the wineyards) to taste Vino Nobile di Montepulciano
About your holiday take a look at this farmhouse hotel with bed and breakfast service:
Agriturismo Casa di Bacco
Montepulciano (Siena) Tuscany
The villa has 7 rooms (shower or jacuzzi whirlpool bath) and one apartment.
They offer private parking, minibar, satellite tv and swimming pool. |
