aah...It's a difficult decision!
Both cities have a lot to offer.

Art, culture, beautiful and really ROMANTIC scenery.
I live in Tuscan since 2005 and I really love this region!
But I have been to Rome several times and it was unforgettable!

I think you should visit Rome&Florence.

If u love nature and you want a little of relax take a look at residence casa italia, situated in the heart of Tuscany. It's a wonderful place for your Tuscan holiday.

I just came from there, and personally, I would pick Rome. Florence is beautiful, but there's not a lot to do other than museums and food. It's a bit more residential. Rome has everything: scenery, museums, ancient monuments, food, nightlife, people. It's a much bigger city and there's a lot more to do.

If you're going to be there for a while, you can even go on a side trip to Florence for a day. It's about 3 hours away, so if you leave early, you can cover the good museums and take in some scenery and just come back at night.

Both cities are worth visiting. Rome probably has more exciting nighlife but if you want to see sights both cities have a lot to offer.

I'm from Rome...i've been to florence about 2 years ago...they are each beautiful, but rome is really incomparable...for scenary after all,but also for nightlife...you must absolutly go to Trastevere on saturday night...! Have a great stay...

I prefer Florence over Rome. Rome is crowded and insane. Its gorgeous, lots of history there... nightlife, of course lots of clubs and bars to go to late at night...
but if you're into the arts and the scenery of Tuscany, Florence is the way to go.... there is a lot to do, great food is there and of course wine... lots of culture in Florence. You can take day trips into Tuscany and visit San Giammano, Siena, they are only a train trip away from Florence, Siena is about an hour out, and a wonderful day trip to visit. You can rent a car and drive around Tuscany and visit the vinyards and bread, mmmm bread, olive oil, wine... the good stuff!!!

ROMA! there is always something going on here. the nightlife is incredible, to say the least. the beach is near by and the the people are beautiful. Come here! Ciao!

Nightlife I would say Rome, its a larger city, and like most larger cities is going to have more clubs etc. As for scenery it really depends on what you are looking for. Rome has the obvious sites but Florence was an epi-center of arts and is also a smaller town. While both are touristy I would Florence is much easier to get out of the touristy district and into true Italian life then Rome is. So if you are an art buff and want to see more of a true Italian lifestyle I would say Florence. If you are looking to see the bug name sites and go partying in the evenings I would say Rome.

The best way to visit Italy is to go on a tour. Trust me!

Especially if you're a college student , like me...it works out to be WAAYYY cheaper. Plus, you get to hang out with a bunch of college students while you travel.

For the best cheap college student vacations, check out:

http://www.efcollegebreak.com

Plus, if you enter manager code: gavrie6237 when you book,

they'll give you a $50.00 discount on top of the already cheap price.

It's safer, smarter, chaeaper, and more fun to do it this way.
